For my 30th I received a birthday card from my workmates and the quote on it really struck a chord with me.

you're only given a little spark of madness. you mustn't lose it...

I guess it resonated with me because sometimes I feel like I'm losing the madness.

After the whirlwind of a party-filled twenties this newly acquired adult life of marriage, mortgages and maturity leaves me feeling ... is this it?

Is this what being a grown-up is all about?

Now, yes, we do have to grow-up. There has to be a point where the living for the now is tempered with the neccessity of setting up a life where you can pay for your retirement, when recklessness is replaced with responsibility, and the discovery that decisions may be permanent!

But at the price of mouthwatering madness? No thanks!

So to keep my madness sparking I've created this little experiment where I will embark on little excursions of madness and record them here... just to keep things interesting!
